A Brief History
Dixon Batteries has a proud 69-year history in the industry. Edward Leslie (Les) and Mable Dixon founded the company, which began producing batteries in 1955 in a small shop on Leslie Street in Vereeniging. After That, Mr. Richard Dixon developed the company into a world-class battery manufacturer.
Today, the company is headquartered in a modern factory facility on Johannesburg Road in Vereeniging. Russell Dixon is now the CEO of Dixon Batteries, making it a third-generation company.

Our Team
Our strengths are based on our highly motivated employees, with every single member of staff making a dedicated contribution and many proudly holding service records ranging from 10 to 30 years. Social Responsibility
As a South African company, we recognize that our actions have consequences and that we can make a positive difference in the communities in which we operate.
Dixon Batteries is proud to support Sedibeng Children's Haven, a non-profit organization that provides a safe haven for up to eighteen children (ages 2–14) who have been removed from abusive situations.
Over 400 children have already been through the Haven. All of these children have benefited from the Haven's positive environment and specialised assistance.
Our Promise
We offer a warranty against battery failure due to faulty workmanship or materials. If such a failure occurs and the battery is found to be defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace it at no charge.

An average car battery contains over 85 components, and Dixon Batteries is committed to supporting local industry and manufacturing by ensuring that every Dixon Battery contains at least 90% locally manufactured components.

From the start, we recognized that a locally manufactured battery could only succeed if exceptionally high-quality standards were established and maintained for both products and service levels. Dixon Batteries places a high value on quality control throughout the entire manufacturing process. Our well-trained and experienced technicians use cutting-edge equipment to manufacture batteries under an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system.
GOING GREEN
As a leading South African manufacturing brand and a responsible, cooperative company, we recognize and accept that our activities, products, and services may harm the environment. We believe in sound environmental management for all of our systems and have implemented the ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System to ensure that we are environmentally responsible by manufacturing and recycling batteries efficiently.
HEALTH AND SAFETY.
Because we recognize that we may pose inherent hazards to our customers, community, and employees, we have implemented an integrated Management System, and a SHEQ Policy, and are committed to ISO 45001: 2018.
